Professor of Lutherie from 2011 to 2021 at the Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Rome (theoretical subjects: Histories of Violinmaking and Evolution of construction and restoration techniques) and from 2016 to 2021 he also taught History and Technology of Stringed Instruments (for students of the Three-year course of stringed instruments). Over the years, he has been a lecturer in the Advanced University Training Course in Engineering Applied to Musical Instruments organised first by the University of Rome La Sapienza (2014, 2015 and 2016) and then by the Polytechnic University of Ancona (2017, 2018 and 2019). Speaker to International Conference on Education, Research and Development di Elenite (Bulgaria) publishing in the issue of Educational Alternatives, vol. 15, 2017 article in english Knowledge And Innovation On Classic Italian Lutherie - A Competitive Education In Market Economy (September 2017). Promoter with Fabretti of the 1st Santa Cecilia International Violin Making Competition in Rome in 2016, he was also a member of the jury (over 100 instruments participating from 24 countries). The Italian Cultural Institute at the Embassy in Paris invites M. de Bonfils to give a lecture-concert on the occasion of the European Music Festival, 20 and 21 June 2017: La Lutherie italienne: trois siècles de succès. Speaker to International Conference European Platform for Artistic Research in Music – EPARM Oporto (2018, Portugal) where he represented the S. Cecilia Conservatory in Rome by promoting its Violinmaking Course. Berlin, Germany (December 2019) Logos editrice publishes volume n.6 of Studia Instrumentorum Musicae Popularis containing the article in English by Massimo de Bonfils and Mauro Fabretti Beyond Stradivari: The New Santa Cecilia Violin Model. Speaker at 22th Intl. Symposium of Musical Instruments of Lisbon (2019) where he presented the new experimental model of ergonomic violin "Santa Cecilia" made in the laboratory of the Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Rome, following criteria aimed both at greater comfort for the performer and the production of a sound of greater quality and volume, adapted to the acoustic needs of the contemporary repertoire. Organiser of the Seminar on Violin Making (8-28 February 2021) and the Seminar on Engineering in String Instruments at the N. Piccinni Conservatory in Bari (3 June 2021). Speaker at 10th International Scientific Meeting for Sound and Musical Instrument Studies of Castelo Branco (2021) on the theme Modernity From The Past, A New Violin Based On Traditional Italian Lutherie And Inspired By Nature.
